Welcome to All Things LDS!

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka "Mormon"). I love my religion and the beliefs, values, standards, and all else that it upholds. Having grown up as a member of this church and most often among others who are not members, I know that there are a lot of preconceived and usually incorrect and/or harmful ideas about what members of my faith believe or practice. I (and some of my LDS friends) have created this wiki to try to help set records straight--for who better to hear the truth about Mormons than from actual practicing Mormons whose records and standing with the church are still good, current, and valid? Here we will simply and hopefully clearly address various things about doctrine and such that others may have false notions about. This is simply to help others understand us and our religion better.

However, this wiki is not a place where we will reveal such things which are sacred to us. Something sacred is "entitled to veneration or religious respect by association with divinity or divine things; holy" and "regarded with reverence." They are not things to be shouted out at the top of our lungs to the entire world, or else then they would lose the special, religious value and meaning that we hold so dear and close to our hearts.
